Football Recap: Lake Park Starts Season with Win at Home + How To Watch

Lake Park took care of business in their home opener (and then some) on Friday. They were the clear victors by a 35-13 margin over the Conant Cougars. The Lancers haven't had any issues with the Cougars recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Lake Park to victory, but perhaps none more so than George Tzamouranis, who rushed for 56 yards and one score on only seven carries, and also threw for 83 yards and one TD while completing 75% of his passes. Kendan Ratini was another key rusher, rushing for 95 yards and one touchdown on only 11 carries.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lake Park will head out to take on Bartlett at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Conant, they will venture away from home to challenge Rolling Meadows at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
