Soccer Recap: Charlottesville Takes a Loss

After flying high against Goochland last Thursday, Charlottesville came back down to earth. The Black Knights fell just short of the Monticello Mustangs by a score of 1-0 on Monday.

Charlottesville's loss was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 3-1-1 and their overall record down to 4-2-1. As for Monticello, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 5-1.

Coincidentally, Charlottesville and Monticello will both be playing Albemarle the next time they take the pitch. The Mustangs will head out to face the Patriots at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, while the Black Knights will host them at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
