John Jay entered their tilt with Mount Vernon on Wednesday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They strolled past the Mount Vernon Knights with points to spare, taking the game 57-39. The Patriots pushed the score to 47-21 by the end of the third, a deficit the Knights cut but never quite recovered from.

Despite the loss, Mount Vernon still got an impressive performance from Tianna Patten, who posted 15 points. That was a full 38.5% of Mount Vernon's points, marking the fourth time in a row she's put up more than a third of the team's points. Karter Christie also deserves some recognition as she scored her first points of the season.

John Jay's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 4-4. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.0 points per game. As for Mount Vernon, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-10.
