North Brunswick took care of business in their home opener (and then some) on Tuesday. They put the hurt on the South Brunswick Cougars with a sharp 81-57 win. The Scorpions haven't had any issues with the Cougars recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive victory against them.

North Brunswick got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Jack Baker out in front who went 9-for-12 to rack up 23 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Kane Jenrette, who shot 70% from the field en route to 16 points and seven rebounds.

North Brunswick smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 12 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least ten offensive rebounds in 11 consecutive games dating back to last season.

Despite the loss, South Brunswick still got an impressive performance from Jayden Daniels, who dropped a double-double with 25 points and 14 boards. Daniels is also on a roll when it comes to shooting accuracy, as he's posted one of at least 56% in the last three games he's played dating back to last season. Edward Young was another key player, putting up eight points and six rebounds.

South Brunswick's loss dropped their record down to 1-1.

North Brunswick has already played their next contest, a 59-16 victory against East Bladen on the 20th. South Brunswick has also already played their next matchup (against East Columbus), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
