Atchison County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 14th straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost 20-5 to the Oskaloosa Bears. On the bright side, the five- run performance marked the Tigers' highest-scoring match to date.

Atchison County saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Makynna Gerardy, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one RBI. That hit was Gerardy's first of the season.

Atchison County's loss dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Oskaloosa, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-1.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Bears beat Atchison County by a score of 19-2 later that day.
