Softball Game Preview: San Fernando Tigers vs. Kennedy Cougars

After both having extra time off, the San Fernando Tigers and the Kennedy Cougars will shake off the rust and duke it out at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday.

Glendora hit San Fernando with a four-run third inning last Saturday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Tigers fell just short of the Tartans by a score of 6-4. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Tigers have suffered since April 23, 2024.

Meanwhile, Kennedy posted their closest win since February 22nd last Saturday. They skirted past West 3-2.

Kennedy saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Melaney Velasco, who went 1-for-2 with one double and one RBI.

San Fernando's defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 7-10. As for Kennedy, they now have a winning record of 8-7.
