Slinger is a perfect 8-0 against Whitefish Bay since April of 2018 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Owls will venture away from home to square off against the Blue Dukes at 4:45 p.m. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

On Thursday, Slinger earned a 6-1 win over Homestead. The victory continues a trend for the Owls in their matchups with the Highlanders: they've now won five in a row.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Whitefish Bay, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Thursday. They skirted past St. Thomas More 4-3. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Blue Dukes have posted since April 18, 2024.

Abby Fay was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only two hits while striking out 13 over seven innings pitched. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two hits in three consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with two runs and one stolen base. Those two runs gave her a new career-high.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Jane Wallace, who went 3-for-4 with two doubles, two RBI, and one run. Those two doubles gave her a new career-high.

Slinger now has a winning record of 4-3. As for Whitefish Bay, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-5.

Slinger took their win against Whitefish Bay when the teams last played back in May of 2024 by a conclusive 17-3 score. Will the Owls repeat their success, or do the Blue Dukes have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
