Springfield had already won five in a row and they went ahead and made it six on Thursday. They walked away with a 2-0 win over the Sacred Heart-Griffin Cyclones. The Senators were shut out 2-0 the last time they took on the Cyclones, so the Senators were just returning the favor.

Springfield's victory bumped their record up to 17-4. As for Sacred Heart-Griffin, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-8.

Springfield will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Tri-City at 7:00 p.m. on October 6. As for Sacred Heart-Griffin, they will head out to challenge Lanphier at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
