Softball Recap: Prospect's Run of Ten Straight Wins Now Over

Prospect dropped their record down to 15-5 on Friday, which also ended the team's ten-game streak of wins. They fell just short of the Live Oak Acorns by a score of 1-0. While getting shut out isn't ideal, the Panthers haven't been shut out since back in March.

Kendall Tabora spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on seven hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in 11 consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Prospect saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Dani Rauscher, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base.

As for Live Oak, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 15 of their last 16 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-2 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.3 runs over those games.

On Live Oak's side, Kayla Tulowitzki was excellent, going 1-for-3 with one home run.

Coming up, Prospect will venture away from home to take on Del Mar at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Live Oak, they have already played their next match, a 13-1 victory against Pioneer on the 12th.
