Volleyball Recap: Centennial Extends Winning Streak to Five

Centennial came tearing into Thursday's game with four straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Cimarron-Memorial Spartans. The matchup marked the Bulldogs' most dominant victory of the season so far.

Centennial never let Cimarron-Memorial on the board, but things got pretty close in the second set. The match finished with set scores of 25-10, 25-23, 25-19.

Leading Centennial to victory were Macey Gonzales and Sophia Sandoval. Gonzales had seven digs and two aces, while Sandoval had nine digs and one assist. Those seven digs gave Gonzales a new career-high.

They weren't the only good server: Centennial was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 15 aces. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their ace total in three consecutive contests.

Centennial's record is now 9-1. As for Cimarron-Memorial, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.

Looking ahead, Centennial will be playing at home against Bishop Gorman at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Cimarron-Memorial, they will head out to face off against Spring Valley at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
