Winning always takes teamwork, but on Monday Tristen Jones stepped things up a notch to give Wilmington the 'W'. Jones produced his best game of the campaign: he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits over five innings pitched. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Wilmington is 4-1 when he allows at most one earned run, but 3-7 otherwise.

Looking ahead, Jones and Wilmington will host Mercer at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. The Greyhounds got just the result they wanted when they last faced the Mustangs thanks in part to Jones: he pitched five innings while giving up just two earned runs off four hits.
