Soccer Recap: Gibson County Comes Up Short

Gibson County lost against Madison back in March of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Pioneers came up short against the Mustangs, falling 9-0. While losing is never fun, Gibson County can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee soccer rankings (they are ranked 285th, while Madison are ranked 59th).

Gibson County now has a losing record of 3-4-2. As for Madison, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-1.

Gibson County wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and has already played their next matchup, a 4-0 defeat against Peabody on the 17th. As for Madison, they have also already played their next game, a 2-0 win against Milan on the 17th.
