Basketball Recap: Jefferson-Morgan Gets the Win

Jefferson-Morgan won the last time they faced Burgettstown, and Dayten Marion did his part to make sure it happened again. The Jefferson-Morgan Rockets walked away with a 52-41 victory over the Burgettstown Blue Devils on Friday thanks in part to Marion, who went 8 for 18 en route to 18 points in addition to eight blocks and seven boards. He is becoming a predictor of Jefferson-Morgan's success: when he posts at least five blocks the team is 9-2 (and 1-2 when he doesn't).

Jefferson-Morgan's win bumped their record up to 10-4. As for Burgettstown, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-10.

Jefferson-Morgan will take on Bethlehem Center at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Burgettstown, they are taking a road trip to challenge Fort Cherry at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
