Basketball Recap: Friday's Victory Is Wagner's 21st in Last 22 Outings

Wagner extended their home winning streak to ten games thanks to a huge performance from La Sneed. The Wagner Thunderbirds took their matchup on Friday with ease, bagging a 75-22 win over the Boerne-Champion Chargers thanks in part to Sneed, who dropped a double-double on 21 points and 11 steals. The game was her third in a row with at least ten points.

The team also got some help courtesy of Jenae Moore, who went 6 of 13 en route to 12 points and four steals. That's the most steals she has posted since back in November of 2024.

Wagner has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 21 of their last 22 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 28-3 record this season. As for Boerne-Champion, they have also been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 16-16 record this season.

Wagner is taking a road trip to square off against Alamo Heights at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Wagner is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 67.6 points per game this season. As for Boerne-Champion, they will challenge Tivy at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
