Sun Valley has gone 9-1 against Oxford recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Sun Valley Vanguards will be playing at home against the Oxford Hornets at 6:45 p.m. The timing is sure in Sun Valley's favor as the squad sits on 11 straight wins at home (dating back to last season) while Oxford has been banged up by five consecutive losses on the road.

Last Tuesday, Sun Valley was able to grind out a solid victory over Kennett, taking the game 57-47. Given the Vanguards' advantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 167th, while the Blue Demons are ranked 404th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Oxford suffered their biggest defeat since February 10, 2024 on Saturday. They were dealt a 79-51 loss at the hands of Kennett.

Oxford's defeat dropped their record down to 2-8. As for Sun Valley, their win bumped their record up to 9-2.

Everything went Sun Valley's way against Oxford when the teams last played back in January of 2024, as Sun Valley made off with a 56-32 victory. Will Sun Valley repeat their success, or does Oxford have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
