Softball Recap: Niskayuna Comes Up Short

Niskayuna lost against Colonie Central back in April of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Silver Warriors lost 14-5 to the Wolfpack. The Silver Warriors have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Cammie Murray was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-3 with one triple, one run, and one RBI. That triple marked the first that she has hit this season. Another player making a difference was Briana Dieckmann, who went 2-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Niskayuna's loss dropped their record down to 4-4. As for Colonie Central, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 7-2.

Looking ahead, Niskayuna will look to defend their home field on Monday against Shenendehowa at 4:15 p.m. As for Colonie Central, they will head out to challenge Albany at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The Wolfpack are facing the Falcons at the right time seeing as the Falcons are stuck on a seven-game losing streak.
