Basketball Recap: Nekoosa Comes Up Short

Nekoosa lost against Northland Lutheran back in November of 2023 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Nekoosa Papermakers fell 42-31 to the Northland Lutheran Wildcats. The Papermakers' defeat continues a trend for the team, making it eight in a row.

Nekoosa's loss dropped their record down to 1-8. As for Northland Lutheran, the victory snapped their losing streak at five games dating back to last season and leaves them with a 1-4 record.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Nekoosa will take on Mauston in a holiday battle at at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Northland Lutheran, they will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Wild Rose at 7:00 p.m. on January 3, 2025.
