Basketball Recap: Beacon Academy's Win on Friday Extends Winning Streak to Five

Beacon Academy had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 45.3 points) and they went ahead and made it five on Friday. They were the clear victor by a 66-42 margin over the Christian Heritage Academy Lions. The match was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 37-16.

Several Lions players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Charles Van Tuinen, who posted 17 points. Carson Acres was another key player, putting up 14 points.

Beacon Academy's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 11-4. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 68.0 points per game. As for Christian Heritage Academy, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-8.

Beacon Academy will host Intrinsic Charter School Downtown Campus at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Intrinsic Charter School Downtown Campus will roll in looking for their sixth straight win, something Beacon Academy surely won't give up without a fight.
