Baseball Recap: Wise Comes Up Short

Wise came into their game on Wednesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 14-2 to the DuVal Tigers. Having soared to a lofty 13 runs in the game before, the Pumas couldn't push the score so high this time.

Taylor Brown made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run while going 3-for-3. He also put up two doubles, which were his first of the season.

Wise's defeat dropped their record down to 1-7. As for DuVal, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-4.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Wise is set to face off against their familiar foe Bladensburg at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Meanwhile, DuVal will square off against rival Laurel on Saturday.
