Volleyball Recap: Stratford Takes a Loss

Stratford lost against Notre Dame Prep back in September of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Red Devils came up short against the Lancers, falling 3-0. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Red Devils have suffered against the Lancers since October 28, 2019.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-16, 25-16, 25-21.

Loss or not, Stratford got some senior leadership from Olivia North and Sophie DeLise. North had five kills, four digs, and three aces, while DeLise had 15 digs. North is on a roll when it comes to aces, as she's now served three or more in each of the last three games she's played.

Stratford dropped their record down to 4-8 with the defeat, which was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season. As for Notre Dame Prep, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.

Looking ahead, Stratford will face off against Bassick at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Notre Dame Prep, they are taking a road trip to challenge Pomperaug at 5:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
