Basketball Recap: Elmwood Takes a Loss

Elmwood was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. The game between them and the Abingdon/Avon Tornadoes didn't end well, with the Elmwood Trojans falling 72-53. The Trojans were not able to make up for their defeat to the Tornadoes from their previous meeting back in December of 2023.

Elmwood's loss dropped their record down to 5-5. As for Abingdon/Avon, the win got them back to even at 4-4.

Elmwood will head out on the road to square off against Havana at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Elmwood is facing Havana at the right time seeing as Havana is stuck on a six-game losing streak. As for Abingdon/Avon, they will be home for the holidays to greet Scales Mound at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. Abingdon/Avon will also cruise into their next contest with the timing on their side: Scales Mound will have lost three straight heading into Friday's match.
