Conway Christian was the victim of a rough 65-45 defeat at the hands of Dillon Christian. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Conway Christian in their matchups with Dillon Christian: they've now lost five in a row.
Conway Christian's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Wyatt Polatty, who scored 19 points. Another player making a difference was Dalton Droll, who scored 14 points.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Dillon Christian to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jackson Outlar, who dropped a double-double on 25 points and 11 rebounds. Thompson Stone was another key contributor, scoring 14 points along with eight steals and seven assists.
Conway Christian has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-4 record this season. As for Dillon Christian, their victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 4-8.
Conway Christian will take on King's Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Dillon Christian, they will head out on the road to challenge Lake View at 8:00 p.m. on Thursday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in South Carolina (Lake View is ranked 244th, while Dillon Christian is ranked 227th).
