Basketball Recap: Kalskag Comes Up Short

Kalskag was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat dating back to last season. They were dealt an 87-51 loss at the hands of the Nelson Island Islanders. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Grizzly Bears of the 87-41 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in February of 2024.

Kalskag's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Nelson Island, their victory bumped their record up to 11-6.

Kalskag does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Nelson Island, they and Scammon Bay will face off at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday without much rest having both just played.
