Basketball Recap: Kennedy Williams and Grace Walley Secure Win for Walton

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Delaware Academy, Walton was happy to have turned things around on Monday. They came out on top against the Unadilla Valley Storm by a score of 29-21. The Warriors have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Storm, too.

Walton was led to victory by Grace Walley and Kennedy Williams. Walley almost dropped a double-double on nine points and 19 boards, while Williams posted 11 points along with seven rebounds and six steals. Walley has been hot for a while, having also posted three or more steals the last 16 times she's played.

Walton moved to 7-8 with that victory, which also ended their four-game losing streak. As for Unadilla Valley, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-8 record this season.

Walton will square off against Oxford Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Walton is facing Oxford Academy at the right time seeing as Oxford Academy is stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Unadilla Valley, they will face off against Sidney at 7:15 p.m. on Wednesday. Sidney will roll in looking for their seventh straight win, something Unadilla Valley surely won't give up without a fight.
