Basketball Recap: South Tama County Comes Up Short

South Tama County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss. They were beaten by the Solon Spartans 92-23. While losing is never fun, the Trojans can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Iowa basketball rankings (they are ranked 315th, while the Spartans are ranked 156th).

South Tama County's defeat dropped their record down to 1-9. As for Solon, the win got them back to even at 5-5.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. South Tama County will take on Benton at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Solon, they will face off against Marion/Newton Christian Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
