Soccer Game Preview: Irving vs. Guyer

The Irving Tigers will face off against the Guyer Wildcats at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Irving will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.

Guyer better have a healthy lead at halftime, because if Irving's game on Saturday is any indication, that's when Irving really gets things going. Everything went the Tigers' way against Lone Star as they made off with a 6-1 victory. That's two games straight that Irving have won by exactly five goals.

Meanwhile, Guyer and Kingwood finished up their matchup with a 2-2 draw on Saturday.

With that draw, Guyer's record moves to 0-5-2. As for Irving, their win bumped their record up to 5-1.

Irving got the 'W' when the teams last played back in January of 2025 against Guyer by a conclusive 4-1 score. Do the Tigers have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Wildcats turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
