Soccer Recap: The Villages Charter Snags Sixth Win in Last Eight Games

It's playoff time, and The Villages Charter had no trouble coming through when it counted. They had just enough and edged the Cocoa Beach Minutemen out 2-1.

The Villages Charter is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 10-8-1 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 31 goals over those eight games. As for Cocoa Beach, their defeat dropped their record down to 14-4-1.

Looking ahead, The Villages Charter will challenge Lake Highland Prep at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Lake Highland Prep is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 2.8 goals per game this season. Cocoa Beach does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
