Baseball Recap: Foothill Gets the Win

Foothill won the last time they faced La Habra and things went their way on Wednesday too. The Knights had just enough and edged out the Highlanders 3-2.

Caden Lauridsen tossed a big game, striking out six batters over six innings while giving up just one earned run off five hits (and only one walk). Those six strikeouts gave him a new career-high.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on AJ Nagler, who went 1-for-2 with one home run. That home run was his first of the season.

Foothill's win bumped their record up to 16-9. As for La Habra, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost seven of their last nine games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-14-1 record this season.

Foothill will have a chance to go back-to-back against La Habra: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 3:15 p.m. on Friday.
