Basketball Game Preview: Ringgold Redskins vs. Lincoln Prep Panthers

Ringgold is 0-10 against Lincoln Prep since February of 2015 but things could change on Friday. The Ringgold Redskins are taking a road trip to face off against the Lincoln Prep Panthers at 6:00 p.m.

Ringgold is headed into Friday's contest looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their eighth straight game on Tuesday. They had to suffer through a 69-16 loss at the hands of Cedar Creek. While losing is never fun, the Redskins can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Louisiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 278th, while the Cougars are ranked 48th).

Meanwhile, Lincoln Prep can bid farewell to their nine-game losing streak thanks to their game on Tuesday. They walked away with a 29-22 victory over Haynesville.

Ringgold's loss dropped their record down to 3-14. As for Lincoln Prep, their win was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 2-12.

Ringgold took a serious blow against Lincoln Prep when the teams last played back in January of 2020, falling 48-11. Can Ringgold avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
