Upper Cape Cod RVT came out on top against Cape Cod RVT on Friday thanks in part to the team's impressive six-run fifth inning. The Rams walked away with an 11-8 victory over the Crusaders. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Rams also won the last time the pair played back in May of 2025.

Amaya Irving spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered five earned (and three unearned) runs on eight hits and racked up eight Ks.

At the plate, Upper Cape Cod RVT got a massive performance out of Rosalie Neville, who got on base in four of her five plate appearances with three stolen bases, four runs, and two RBI. That's the most stolen bases Neville has posted since back in May of 2025. The team also got some help courtesy of Kenley Thomas, who went 4-for-5 with three RBI, one triple, and one run.

Upper Cape Cod RVT kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 14 hits. They are 3-1 when they post 11 or more hits.

The win made it two in a row for Upper Cape Cod RVT and bumps their season record up to 4-8. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.5 runs over those games. As for Cape Cod RVT, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost seven of their last eight contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-8 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Upper Cape Cod RVT will welcome Old Colony RVT at 3:30 p.m. on Monday. The Rams will need to watch out since the Cougars have now posted at least ten runs in their last seven matchups. As for Cape Cod RVT, they will be playing at home against Norfolk County Agricultural at 3:30 p.m. on Monday. The Rams have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 19.1 runs per game on average), something the Crusaders will no doubt try to take advantage of.
