Volleyball Recap: Olathe West Extends Winning Streak to Three + How To Watch

Olathe West had already won two in a row and they went ahead and made it three on Thursday. They put the hurt on the Shawnee Mission West Vikings with a sharp 3-0 win. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Owls also won the last time the pair played back in September of 2024.

Olathe West was especially dominant in the third set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17, 25-18, 25-4.

Ella Stowell paced Olathe West's offense, picking up 16 kills. Stowell got some help from Neely Leathers and her 22 assists. Kayla Allen controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.

Olathe West's victory bumped their record up to 13-3. As for Shawnee Mission West, their loss dropped their record down to 3-6-2.

Coming up, Olathe West will face off against Lawrence at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Shawnee Mission West, they will challenge Basehor-Linwood at 8:00 a.m. on Saturday.
