Softball Recap: Franklin Monroe Takes a Loss

Franklin Monroe was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss dating back to last season. They came up short against the Twin Valley South Panthers, falling 12-1. The Jets were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Panthers apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in March of 2024.

Franklin Monroe's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Twin Valley South, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Coming up, Franklin Monroe will face off against Mississinawa Valley at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Blackhawks have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 11.2 runs per game on average), something the Jets will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Twin Valley South, they will challenge Troy Christian at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
