Baseball Recap: Badger Picks Up Third Consecutive Win

Badger lost a heartbreaker the last time they played Maplewood, but it's fair to say they got their revenge given the result of Monday's game. The Braves blew past the Rockets 13-7 on Monday. The Braves' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

The team relied heavily on Lewis Flowers, who went 2-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one stolen base. Hunter Gilbert also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Badger kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Badger will challenge Mathews at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Maplewood, they will take on Lordstown at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Red Devils have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 9.5 runs per game on average), something the Rockets will no doubt try to take advantage of.
