Volleyball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Chloe Wong and Yvie Trinh Lead Mills to Victory + How To Watch

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Capuchino, Mills was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They blew past the Jefferson Grizzlies 3-0. The Vikings not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since September 16th (when they won 3-0).

Leading Mills to victory were Yvie Trinh and Chloe Wong. Trinh had three digs and three aces, while Wong had ten digs and five aces. Those three aces gave Trinh a new career-high. Pari Xiao also deserves some recognition as she served her first ace of the season.

They weren't the only good servers: Mills was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 19 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least five aces in six consecutive matches.

Mills' victory ended a three-match drought on the road and puts them at 10-15. As for Jefferson, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-11.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Mills will head out to face off against Pinewood at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Jefferson, they will venture away from home to square off against San Mateo at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
