Lakeside School never got on the board in their matchup last Tuesday, but that sure wasn't the case in their game against Sparta Academy on Friday. They blew past the Sparta Academy Warriors 13-0. The result was nothing new for the Chiefs, who have now won 12 matches by six runs or more so far this season.

Luke McGowan made a big impact no matter where he played. He didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out nine over five innings pitched. What's more, he gave up only one walk, the fewest he's had over his last four contests. He was also big at the plate, scoring four runs and stealing Two bases. while going 1-for-3. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in runs.

In other batting news, Tyler Mark Bullock was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing Four bases. while going 2-for-3. That's the most runs he has posted over his last 12 games. Conner Britton was another key player, scoring a run and stealing Two bases. while going 2-for-4.

Lakeside School always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .571. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Sparta Academy only posted an OBP of .167.

Lakeside School's record is now 18-2. As for Sparta Academy, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-10.

Coincidentally, Lakeside School and Sparta Academy will both be playing Jackson Academy the next time they take the field. Lakeside School will head out to face Jackson Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, while Sparta Academy will host them at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
