Pope is 8-2 against Sprayberry since January of 2020 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The Pope Greyhounds will face off against the Sprayberry Yellow Jackets at 7:30 p.m. Pope has now lost eight straight, leaving the team hunting for their first win since December 20.

Last Friday, Pope didn't have quite enough to beat Lassiter and fell 39-36. The contest marked the Greyhounds' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Sprayberry, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Friday. They enjoyed a cozy 59-43 win over Therrell on Saturday. The victory was some much needed relief for the Yellow Jackets as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

The win got Sprayberry back to even at 9-9. As for Pope, their loss dropped their record down to 10-10.

Pope barely slipped by Sprayberry in their previous meeting back in December of 2024, winning 52-51. The rematch might be a little tougher for Pope since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
