The King/Drew Golden Eagles will take on the Locke Saints at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday. King/Drew is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.6 runs per game this season.
King/Drew took a loss when they played away from home last Saturday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Monday. They never let Dorsey get on the board and left with a 16-0 victory. The Golden Eagles haven't had any issues with the Dons recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive win against them.

Robert Salazar and Hades Carranza made a big impact while hitting and pitching. Throwing, Salazar tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Meanwhile, Carranza struck out six batters over two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and only one walk). That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in February. At bat, Salazar went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI, while Carranza got on base in two of his four plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.
In other batting news, Oscar Reyes was incredible, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. Those two RBI gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Sammy Ventura, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.
Locke couldn't beat Fremont on Monday even though they stacked four runs on them in the fourth inning. The Saints lost 22-6 to the Pathfinders. The Saints haven't had much luck with the Pathfinders recently, as the team has come up short the last eight times they've met.
King/Drew's victory was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 13-4. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.8 runs on average over those games. As for Locke, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-11.
Everything went King/Drew's way against Locke in their previous matchup back in March, as King/Drew made off with a 13-3 victory. Will the Golden Eagles repeat their success, or do the Saints have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
