Recap: Raby Raiders vs. Uplift Titans
The Raby Raiders won the last time they faced the Uplift Titans, and things went their way on Tuesday too. Raby sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 53-51 victory over Uplift. That's two games straight that Raby has won by exactly two points.
Raby's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Zamequa Hillard, who scored 25 points along with 5 rebounds and 3 steals. That makes it three consecutive games in which Hillard has scored at least 25% of Raby's points. Another player making a difference was Zo?mya Page, who scored 18 points along with 5 rebounds.
The win makes it two in a row for Raby and bumps their season record up to 3-1. As for Uplift, the last time they won on the road was back last Tuesday. Having now lost three straight away matches, they've bumped their record down to 2-5.
Raby will square off against Alcott at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Alcott comes in still looking for their first win of the season. As for Uplift, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Aspira Business and Finance at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Aspira Business and Finance comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 19 points in their last four games, a trend the squad is of course eager to reverse.
