Soccer Recap: Athens Christian Puts Losing Streak Behind Them

There's no place like home for Athens Christian, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Tuesday. They walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Monsignor Donovan Catholic Rams on Tuesday. Athens Christian's winning goal came courtesy of Presley Hembree.

Athens Christian moved to 2-7 with that win, which also ended their six-game losing streak. As for Monsignor Donovan Catholic, they dropped their record down to 0-5 with the defeat, which was their third straight on the road.

Coming up, Athens Christian will welcome John Milledge Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Monsignor Donovan Catholic, they will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Augusta Prep Day at 5:30 p.m. on the 22nd.
