Softball Game Preview: Chestnut Ridge Lions vs. Windber Ramblers

The Chestnut Ridge Lions will head out on the road to take on the Windber Ramblers at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Chestnut Ridge has a tough task ahead: they'll enter the match with three straight losses, while Windber will come in with three straight wins.

Chestnut Ridge blew Westmont Hilltop out of the water the last time the pair played, but on Monday Westmont Hilltop got their revenge. The Lions fell just short of the Hilltoppers by a score of 2-0.

Windber not only won on Monday, but they posted their biggest win since March 25th (when they won 19-6). They blew past Conemaugh Township 15-2.

Windber's victory bumped their record up to 9-4. As for Chestnut Ridge, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-5.

Chestnut Ridge beat Windber 3-0 when the teams last played back in May of 2022. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Lions since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
