Softball Recap: Ethel Walker Falls to Miss Porter's in First Game of Season

Ethel Walker unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They came up short against Miss Porter on Saturday, falling 15-4. Ethel Walker was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Miss Porter's apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in March of 2022.

Emily Sanchez and Kara Dabkowski did some serious damage despite the final result: Sanchez scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-2, while Dabkowski got on base in all three of her plate appearances with two stolen bases.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Ethel Walker will square off against Williston Northampton at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Miss Porter's, they will face off against Choate Rosemary Hall School at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
