Football Game Preview: Victory Christian Academy Knights vs. O'Farrell Charter Falcons

The Victory Christian Academy Knights will challenge the O'Farrell Charter Falcons at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. O'Farrell Charter took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Victory Christian Academy, who comes in off a win.

On Friday, Victory Christian Academy was able to grind out a solid victory over Orange Glen, taking the game 23-13. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Knights.

Chato Garcia produced another solid effort rushing for 73 yards and one touchdown on only eight carries.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Victory Christian Academy was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 211 rushing yards. They are 3-1 when they've run for more than 200 yards.

Another reason for the win was Victory Christian Academy's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for four sacks. In fact, those sacks all came courtesy of defensive juggernaut Ben Cordova. Victory Christian Academy got some further help from Kyle Capili: he made 12 total tackles (2.0 for loss).

Meanwhile, O'Farrell Charter fell victim to Maranatha Christian and their airtight defense on Friday. They were beaten by the Eagles 62-0. The Falcons haven't had much luck with the Eagles recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.

Victory Christian Academy's win bumped their record up to 4-5. As for O'Farrell Charter, they now also have a losing record of 4-5.

Everything came up roses for Victory Christian Academy against O'Farrell Charter in their previous meeting back in August of 2024, as the team secured a 36-6 victory. Will the Knights repeat their success, or do the Falcons have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
