Baseball Game Preview: Van Nuys Wolves vs. Vaughn White Tigers

The Van Nuys Wolves will challenge the Vaughn White Tigers at 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Van Nuys is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.1 runs per game this season.

Van Nuys' usually-dominant pitching crew will be looking to make up for Monday's struggle, when Heritage Christian hitters got past them. The Wolves lost 13-7 to the Warriors on Monday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Wolves have suffered since March 8, 2024.

Alejandro Diaz was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-4 with one home run, four RBI, and one stolen base. That home run was his first of the season. The team also got some help courtesy of Joaquin Boche, who went 2-for-3 with one triple, one run, and one RBI.

Meanwhile, Vaughn was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They were two runs away from ending the streak, but they lost a 6-4 heartbreaker at the hands of Riverdale Baptist. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the White Tigers have suffered since March 15th.

Vaughn's defeat dropped their record down to 10-9. As for Van Nuys, their loss ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 10-4.
