Baseball Recap: Ligonier Valley Comes Up Short

On Thursday, the Ligonier Valley Rams didn't have quite enough to beat the McGuffey Highlanders and fell 6-4.

Ligonier Valley saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Noah Knupp, who went 2-for-3 with one double and one RBI. The dominant performance gave Knupp a new career-high in hits.

Ligonier Valley's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for McGuffey, the win got them back to even at 1-1-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Ligonier Valley will square off against Greensburg Salem at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. This will be Ligonier Valley's first chance to prove their worth in the conference. As for McGuffey, they will challenge Gateway at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
