Basketball Game Preview: Floresville Tigers/Jaguars vs. Davenport Wolves

The Floresville Tigers/Jaguars will square off against the Davenport Wolves on Thursday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Floresville is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Monday. They put the hurt on John F. Kennedy with a sharp 67-46 win. The victory was nothing new for the Tigers/Jaguars as they're now sitting on seven straight.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Davenport). They claimed a resounding 85-21 win over LBJ Austin. Given the Wolves' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 154th, while the Jaguars are ranked 1223rd), the result on Monday wasn't entirely unexpected.

Davenport has been performing well recently as they've won 13 of their last 16 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 24-9 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 53.5 points over those games. As for Floresville, their victory bumped their record up to 21-13.
