Basketball Recap: Eustis Victorious

There's no place like home for Eustis, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Wednesday. They slipped by the Trinity Catholic Celtics 47-46 on Tuesday. Given the Panthers' advantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 108th, while the Celtics are ranked 282nd) , the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Despite the loss, Trinity Catholic still got an impressive performance from Kellie Grant, who posted 12 points in addition to six boards and four steals. Grant is crushing it when it comes to steals: she's grabbed at least four every time she's taken the court this season. Haurya Quirino also deserves some recognition as she posted her first assist of the season.

Eustis pushed their record up to 10-4 with the win, which was their third straight at home. As for Trinity Catholic, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-5.

Eustis has already played their next matchup, a 48-46 victory against Mount Dora Christian Academy on the 8th. As for Trinity Catholic, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 66-51 win against Chiefland on the 8th.
