Volleyball Recap: Rifle Bears vs. Palisade Bulldogs
Rifle was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their 18th straight loss. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Palisade Bulldogs. The Bears were not able to make up for their defeat to the Bulldogs from their previous meeting back in November of 2024.
Rifle was the model of consistency in the loss, scoring seven points in every single set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-7, 25-7.
Emelyn Hinckley paced Rifle's offense, picking up two kills. Hinckley got some help from Kensee Boyd and her four assists.
Palisade found their leader in freshman Bo Reimer, who had 11 digs and three aces.
Rifle's loss dropped their record down to 1-21. As for Palisade, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-11 record this season.
