New Hampshire High School Football Rankings

Who's up and who's down

This week's postseason action didn't throw the rankings into complete disarray, but it did reorder the standings a decent amount. The action last week included a one-point thriller between Winnacunnet and Bedford.

Can't Stop Won't Stop

It was another game, another high-octane performance for Salem last week (their 10th in a row). It had all the answers against Londonderry, winning 35 - 14. 35 is shaping up to be Salem's lucky number as the team posted the same point total in its victory over Londonderry the game before. With ten consecutive wins, Salem boasts the longest winning streak of any team in the rankings.

Rocket Boost

Stevens will have a better view of things this week after its strong showing last week propelled it 11 spots up the power rankings. That was the biggest rise of the week. It breezed past Somersworth with a final score of 33 - 6. Stevens's offense might have been extra motivated to turn things around after difficulties scoring in its previous game.

Points Galore

It was up, up, and away for Newport and Epping/Newmarket last week as they combined for the highest point total (69) among all power ranked teams. Everything went Newport's way against Epping/Newmarket as it secured a 57 - 12 win. The victory raised Newport up two spots in the power rankings.

Upcoming Drama

If you are itching to watch a first-rate contest, no game is supposed to fit the bill better than the one between Salem (1st in the power rankings) and Pinkerton (2nd). Both teams have their heads held high after landslide victories against their previous opponents. Salem and Pinkerton both have plenty of landslide victories under their belts (Salem with eight and Pinkerton with eight), but only one can come away triumphant this week. We'll find out who that is soon.
