Preview: Paducah Dragons vs. Motley County Matadors
Paducah is 10-0 against Motley County since January of 2019, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Paducah Dragons will be playing in front of their home fans against the Motley County Matadors at 8:00 p.m. Both teams come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
In what's become a running theme this season, Paducah gave their fans yet another huge win on Tuesday. They claimed a resounding 63-30 victory over Spur at home. The victory was just what Paducah needed coming off of a 80-32 loss in their prior match.
Paducah can attribute much of their success to Jakyen Wright, who scored 18 points, and Maverick Monroe, who scored 18 points. That's the first time this season that Monroe scored 15 or more points. Ethan Garabaldi was another key contributor, scoring eight points.
Meanwhile, Motley County's three-game losing streak came to an end last Tuesday. They secured a 51-45 W over Patton Springs.
Paducah is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 14-9 record this season. As for Motley County, their win ended a 11-game drought on the road and puts them at 5-8.
Everything came up roses for Paducah against Motley County when the teams last played back in February of 2023 as the team secured a 75-23 victory. Does Paducah have another victory up their sleeve, or will Motley County turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
