Basketball Game Preview: Alta Hawks vs. Murray Spartans

Alta and Murray are an even 3-3 against one another since November of 2018, but not for long. The Alta Hawks will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against the Murray Spartans at 2:30 p.m. Alta will be strutting in after a victory while Murray will be coming in after a defeat.

If Murray heads into halftime all tied up, they better play a good second half: that's when Alta took over last week. Alta enjoyed a cozy 42-23 win over George Washington on Saturday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Hawks.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Alta to victory, but perhaps none more so than Alia Baldassano, who posted 11 points. Quincy Kegel was another key player, putting up nine points.

Meanwhile, Murray was not able to break out of their rough patch last Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They took a 56-46 hit to the loss column at the hands of Cottonwood.

Alta has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 5-5 record this season. As for Murray, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-8.

Alta strolled past Murray in their previous meeting back in November of 2023 by a score of 65-47. Will Alta repeat their success, or does Murray have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
